I wonder if I shouldn't get pissy and whiny more often... I'm pleased that a few more have joined the discussion regarding the Absolute Poker cheating scandal and cheating in general. If I at least got you to think about, then I have succeeded. As I said earlier, in essence, I'm late to the party on this issue, but better late than not at all. Keep thinking about it. Keep talking about it. It's okay if you disagree with me - just don't ignore it.
Of course related to the online cheating problems is where one's own line is drawn in regards to poker cheating. I thought F-Train and Daniel Negreanu presented their point of views succinctly. I'd like to know what others think.
I'm incredibly embarrassed I allowed myself to fall into the trap - that I told myself peeking at exposed cards was okay - "It's their responsibility to protect their cards. If they don't, then it's just more information for me to use." JJProdigy has virtually the same attitude which boils down to exploiting a vulnerability. So where does one draw the line? How fine tuned is your moral compass?
When does exploitation of information or vulnerabilities cross the line into cheating? Is angle shooting cheating, per se, or merely bad manners?
Talk amongst yourselves. I'll be back in a few days and hope to see a good discussion is underway. If not, I'll just have to throw another hissy fit.
