This weekend marked my fourth trip since May. Compared to some of my globe trotting internet friends that's nothing. But, for this chick, well, let's just say that I'm low on fuel and my spark plugs just aren't firing like they use to.
This latest trip had me tasting a bit of what some label paradise. With more time than I had, I'm sure I would've discovered the label isn't a misnomer. By my fourth and last day, it didn't take much imagination to see me at home there, completly evovled into the bohemian, eking out island life in a gallery or gift shop and sipping mojitos at sunset on my own private pier. But, the trip was short and nearly wiped me out.
Heat, humidity and only my two legs to get me from here to there. Not a good mix. I attempted to match the 30-something pace and should have stuck to my 50-something sensibilities instead.
At any rate, I did manage to have a good time. It's hard not to when you're with good friends anywhere they happen to be. I loved seeing one and all and celebrating Al's naissance.
Below was the last stop before heading to the airport. Not bad for an iPhone pic, if I do say so myself.
