I jumped inot the Mookie this evening after an absence of a few weeks. Holy cow - who be all those people? It was a nice turn-out of 80-someodd folks.
Since facing reality and owning up to the fact that my tournament skillz are as rocky as a gravel pit, I didn't have much confidence in my ability to compete. I just wanted to perhaps get through the first hour. I almost made it, too. Down to a chip and a chair, I was knocked out in 59th place at around 56 minutes in.
I was north of par for a good portion of that time, but then was decimated when I over-played my trip sixes and my lousey kicker turned out to have no kick. Ah well.

I think I adding that to Maudie's Book of Poker Mantra's right next to this.
