Hello to the few of you still with me out there - and, thanks, by the way.
Just thought I'd pass along an interesting fact about my current bankroll.
My bankroll is solely that - money garnered from my mad poker skills. Recently my offline bankroll experienced a bottle-rocket rise and fall. It's sitting at $37 and change right now.
I keep a spreadsheet for all my "extra" income - blog ads, Pokerworks, poker sessions, etc. In my spreadsheet, I have a tab for the bankroll and once a month I make note of it's level. A separate line each for offline and online.
My online bankroll is relatively healthy, but not for the reasons one might expect. All my online funds are in Full Tilt. I also receive a small monthly amount from Full Tilt each month for the ad on this page, which stays in my online account. When I computed how much I've received from them since the ad began to run, well.. would you be surprised to learn the 82-83% of my online bankroll is courtesy of Full Tilt and not due to my mad poker skillz?
It's slowly sinking in that I'm not the stellar poker player I wish I was or deceived myself into thinking I was. I still love to play - and since moving to no-limit, I recover faster. But the swings are far bigger, too, and I don't know that I can endure that for very long.
So, my grand scheme to use poker to supplement my retirement fund is unraveling faster than a wool sweater at a moth convention, hence the little button at the top left of the page... the first million dollar donor will get a huge bonus!
