Monday was a much better day than Sunday - despite it being a Monday and a work day. Such is the cycle of Maudie's Big Pain in the Neck™. A big thanks to Fred and LaFelta for sending words of comfort.

Friday I went to the casino and dropped two buy-ins... the table was more fishy than a trout farm, but it was also suckout city. The New Yorker with Bad Teeth (TNYWBT) on my right raised up a pot pre-flop and called it down to the river, taking the sizable pot with a made straight off of the trey he had in the hole. His other card? An eight. Later, the two seat took down a pot with aces and TNYWBT said, "It's nothing to do that with aces, but it takes skill to do it with 8-3 offsuit..." The table got a good laugh out of that one.
I couldn't get a good hand to stick. After the umpteenth rivered suckout, the new guy on my right (NGOMR) (TNYWBT had departed) observed "You've had the best hand going every time..." Yeah. That's poker. Another day, I'd be walking out of there with four and half racks. Sigh.
I might dare to try the no-limit tables next time out.
OK - That's it. I got nothing else, save to send my heartfelt sympathies to the members of the Up For Poker crew who lost a good pal this weekend. So sad.
