Yegods, if I weren't so totally brain-dead and exhausted right now I'd launch into a full blown rant worthy of the down and dirty days of our own Iggster... Below is a banner and a link to go with it - Mr. Bracelet, in spite of some tight-assed, small-brained, closed-minded employers, is trying, along with some fine pokerati, to do a Good Thing™ in order to help a family in need.
I'm outraged that in this country, with its flag-waving, holier-than thou, over blown egotiscal uber-allas we-can-save-the-world attitude, that families go broke trying to care for an ill loved one; that a mother has to watch her son die because she can't afford the treatments he needs to live; that no matter how many cures are found for whatever diseases are out there that plague us, what good does it do for the patient who can't pony up the cash or insurance to pay for it??

I have a co-worker who's son could be cured with a bone-marrow transplant but no money to pay for it .... godammit that is so wrong.
