Spooky Poker
October 30, 2005 | 08:44PM | maudie dot b - gmail d c |

I've been busy here in Maudie-land with a couple of ad-hoc projects I've launched.
Perhaps some time in the future I'll give out more details, but for now they
are remaining under wraps. The projects are for my own development as a web-geek
and I mention them only if by way of explaining what's been keeping me busy
of late. Not much poker playing as a result.
What else has been keeping me busy is reading blogs. Goodness gracious - that
is nearing full-time job status. Here's a bit of what's going on out there:

- Double
As has been challenging us in decision making - I'm the only one who called
an all-in with my pocket queens which means I'm brilliant or a complete donk.
I'd put your money on the latter.
- -EV
hit the Party Poker bad beat jackpot and gets over $5k just for sitting
at the table. Way. To. Go. !!!!. Reading his hand history, I imagine the guy
who left the table on the turn might've gone looking for a bridge from which
to throw himself....
- BadBlood
lands a straight flush and coins a new phrase - "Dats a straight
flush donkeys!!"
- Bill
has another WPBT Winter Classic update - looks like this is going
to be THE place to be in December. I'm excited, anxious and nervous... can't
wait.
- Mean
Gene has booked - have you???
- Anyone notice the Poker
Prof's new design? It has all the giltz and gaudiness of Vegas we all
love. And I *coff* er, helped a little, uh, with the bones, providing slice
and dice service to the graphics and a 3 column float with header(s) and footer
in .css (geek-speak). The Poker Prof called me a geek. Heh. High praise.
- This
made me hungry... Drizz
would fit right in with mi Bruncheros...
- Joe's
post hit home...
- Div
attended a seminar and learned an applicable lesson regarding risk..
- Res
Ipsa Poker is having fun with his graphics program. I'm getting a kick
out of his cartoons....
- Thanks to Sloe Jack, I had some fun with this
site this afternoon. I made this.
He also has a thoughtful
post regarding bluffing - well worth the read.
- Jaxia brought
a hammer down hard - behold its power!
- and lastly, certainly not leastly, we hear from G-rob
- all our questions have been answered, my life is complete. I genuflect to
the O-tis. [ Note: unable to register in time, I
rail-birded Friday's WWdn
(exile) tourney at Poker Stars. OH geez - I had a good time watching
that one. Who'da thunk I'd've been privileged to watch the ultimate battle
between Beauty
and the Beast
- oh what a treat that was...]
And that only scratches the surface of my blog-reading this week.
Happy
Halloween everybody!! [be patient and turn up the speakers]
(if you read this in Bloglines - you may have missed out on the "total"
experience. heh)
