As a single poker playing female, I am intrigued by this little statistic recently unearthed by the World Poker Exchange (as reported in Forbes) - "Half of men surveyed (49 percent) say it is sexy when women play poker."
However, the targeted demographics of the WSOP broadcast advertisers leads me to wonder about the pickings available among that 49%. Here's the viewer archetype I've constructed based on the ads from Tuesday's broadcast:
- Male
- Plays poker with the guys (and perhaps a poker pro stuffed in the fridge)
- Eats big, greasy hamburgers and other fried foods
- Drinks beer and has issues with his "maleness"
- Has body odor and a bad attitude
- Can't get it up
I'm sorry. I can't resist. I have to say it.
