Is it wrong?

You're sitting in LP at a loose, passive no-foldem 3/6 table (live) and the pot gets raised, reraised and called twice in front of you. You are looking at QJ-suited. You figure the two guys raising it up are on big pairs or big overs. The others are just coming along for the ride, having previously demonstrated they could have anything. You look to your left and note that there's probably going to be at least one another player joining the party. What do you do here?

I called. The original raiser re-raised. Everybody called. More chips went in on the flop, capping it. The raiser and the re-raiser were clearly perturbed by yours truly when they saw my QJ-suited take down a monster pot. I flopped a straight.

The raiser asked me if I would have called if it had be capped pre-flop. My answer was "yes." I got a very confused scowl thrown my way, and I could see the thought bubble form over his head, "What a donkey." I just stacked my chips and kept silent.

So why did I? Possibilities. Big pot and a hand that had a whole lot of potential - straight, flush and straight-flush potential. There were at least 4 of us in the pot - the odds and the implied odds were more than good. If I hit the board, then I'm gold. If I don't, I'm done with the hand. It's as simple as that.

Did I do something wrong?

Yes.

I didn't jam it pre-flop.
