The last couple of days have been a little out of character for me in regard to the "banner farm" incident. My responses were emotional and born out of anger. I am not, however, going to apologize for it. This blog is mine, it's my words, my viewpoints, my stories, mine - me. The rss feed is there for readers to use within the framework of an rss aggregator - not for re-publishing. If someone wants to quote me or use a post on their site - all they have to do is ask. A simple thing, really.
As stated before, after learning what she was doing, I'd e-mailed her to express my concern and to make it clear that she did not have permission to use my material on that site. She responded by promptly pulling my content into her site. This was an act by a person of zero integrity and questionable intelligence. Fortunately, it appears my second e-mail (all 2 sentences of it) and/or my previous post have motivated her to remove my blog content - but she has added a disclaimer which erroneously states "RSS feeds are provided by blog's owners themselves so their information is syndicated for use on other blogs and web sites."
The last seven words of that statement is where she has got it wrong. She goes on further stating that "[l]ocal law enforcement and attornies [sic] have been contacted regarding the threats, and harrassment [sic]" by myself and Iggy. I guess I should be on the lookout for a South Dakotan police vehicle staking out my neighborhood, huh.
Sigh.
And now I've received my very first flaming comment, which I guess is my reward for sticking up for myself.
So, guys and girls, I'm done with this, and I urge you to be done with it, as well. I will make no further mention of this - I've wasted far too much time on this, as it is. No more.
