This is a post to say that the return to actual content is forthcoming.... I hope. The play got off to a good start and I now have 3 evenings of rest before we perform again.... It's been exhausting, but wholly satisfying. Someone published some research a long time ago which equated the energy expended in a 2 - 3 hour performance by a lead performer in a production is roughly the same amount expended in 8 hours of hard labor. While I am not the lead, I'm in all but 2 scenes of a near 3 hour production and figure that, on top of my regular 8 hour job, I'm 'working' about a 14 hour day on production days.... so it's no wonder that after the matinee on Sunday, I came home and ended up hitting the hay at 7:30 in the evening... I have a reload bonus to work off at Empire before the 13th so I will be cramming some play in on these 3 days.... I have some thoughts on some posts I've read recently regarding arrogance and ego - stay tuned... how great is it that there were over 100 players in the first WPBT event of the year? How crappy was it that I didn't get to play?
