Shout Outs

October 31, 2004 | 11:09AM  | maudie dot b - gmail d c |

I've added a few blog links to the blog roll - our community is growing, growing growing. Before too long we'll be needing to add a new sewage treatment plant and the roads outside the neighborhood will be targeted for widening and under construction for months on end making egress and access to the neighborhood a pain in the... oh... wait... no... that's my town... sorry... got carried away.

Ennyway... a couple of these are long over-due shout outs. First, a fellow Okie just up the road from yours truly - Oklahoma Doug - he played in the last WPBT tourney. Perhaps we'll meet across a poker table here in the great state of Oklahoma if we can get State Question 712 passed on Tuesday - it will allow the tribal casinos the option of adding non-house games, among other things - which could mean the possibility of tournament poker! And I just this minute found this site - guess what I might be doing on Tuesday (beside voting)???

Next is Pokerati - I've been a long-time visitor to this site, so I do not know how I missed getting it on the blog-roll 'till now. There's a handful of contributors (and some fun poker wearables for sale) and these guys are based down under. In Texas.

Another newish blogger who jumped into the fray at the last tourney is The Poker Geek aka The Film Geek. When we were attempting to ascertain what alias our celebrity was sporting, I thought it might've been this guy. I was close in my guess as it seems they know each other. Ahem. I'm an actor. Ahem. I can work cheap.

My site meter stats have shown occasional visits from Germany. 50 Outs recently made contact and is interested in playing in our WPBT tourneys. Judging from his postings, he would be a tough and worthy opponent. It appears he and his wife are high stakes players and successful tourney players. Very interesting reading, indeed. Check out the gallery pics.

And the Penguin is back!

So check these blogs out, add them to your blog roll - we're taking over the word er... world!
